We’re a dynamic family of five, passionately crafting a cozy homestead just beyond the bustling streets ~~of Lviv, Ukraine~~ (soon to be) somewhere in Texas. Our tale? Well, it’s a bit unconventional.

Joey’s journey led him to Lviv after traversing the globe and collaborating with diverse ministries and NGOs. His adventures spanned nearly two years in Thailand and three months in vibrant India. Meanwhile, Alena planted roots in Lviv back in 2004, pursuing her passion for interior design with a master’s degree. Fate intertwined our paths within the walls of a church, sparking a whirlwind romance that culminated in marriage just six months later—in Georgia (the country, not the state, though both are equally captivating and worth a visit). Now, our family flourishes with the joyous presence of three delightful children, Lizzy, Anakin, and Alex. Together, we’re navigating the pursuit of simplicity, striving to break free from the rat race and embrace a more self-sustaining lifestyle. It’s an intricate dance as an international family, but one we embrace with grace and determination.
